Twins Lawn Care LLC, once just a small side job for two twin brothers, Matt and Zack has now blossomed into a full-fledged, full service landscaping company that originally only serviced Hamden, but currently operates in several towns from Hamden all the way to Guilford.
We offer several services with a focus on weekly lawn maintenance, spring/fall cleanups, hedge trimming and mulching, landscape design, reseeding, snow and ice management for both commerial and residential clients.
Our goal is to continues to grow, especially in the commerial side of the industry while continuing to provide exceptional work for our customers
Our Story
The backbone of Twins Lawn Care LLC all began in April of 2011, when two twin brothers, Matt and Zack Duhaime decided to start mowing a few lawns around their dad’s neighborhood in West Haven, CT while still in high school. They were using the least expensive and most basic landscaping equipment they cloud get their hands on. Zack would push the mower around the neighborhood while Matt would wheel a wheelbarrow around with the hand tools and gas.
Once they got their license and with the help of their supportive parents, they were able to purchase a truck and small trailer and expand their reach. At this time the twins started mowing lawns in their hometown of Hamden, CT around their mom’s neighborhood. This all happened while they both were attending college. Each year it became harder and harder to keep growing the business while full-time college students but they did just that. Then came 2020… the year of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
At this time both of the jobs they went to college for were put on hold. It was at this point where they decided to take the next step and grow the company. Over the next few years, Matt and Zack would upgrade from one small truck and using their parent’s garage, to owning 5 commercial trucks with plows, renting 2 shops for all of the equipment, and hiring over a half dozen crew members to assist with their growing demand of services. They also made the difficult decision to sell off their West Haven accounts and focus on growing their business in their hometown of Hamden, which is where the main shop is located.
Recently, Twins Lawn Care has taken over all mowing, maintenance, and plowing operations for Total Lawn Care and Snow Plowing, a landscaping company based out of North Brandford CT! Now they cover several towns such as Hamden, North Haven, Northford, North Branford, Branford, East Haven, and Guilford
